Costly, unsecured beach

THE EAR - The Freeman

COSTLY PUBLIC BEACH. An official of a national agency told The Ear that she was shocked when she went with some friends in a supposed-to-be public beach in Minglanilla just recently when they were collected with entrance fee of P5 per head, including children, plus P30 of parking fee per vehicle, not to mention a dilapidated cottage for rent at P250. She asked if the Municipal Government of Minglanilla is monitoring illegal exactions in the beaches in Barangay Tungkop, with their collectors issuing no receipt.

SECURITY ISSUE. The same informant commented that among the public beaches that she visited in her life, it's in Minglanilla that she found to be unsecured to the excursionists. She thanked that during her visit over the weekend, there was no untoward incident happened in the beach. "Kun dunay mag-away unya magpatay sa baybayon, mangamatay gyud nga way polis o barangay tanod nga maka-pacify. Wala gyuy security measures ang beach.
