EFFIGIES. It says in the papers that the activists burned some effigies and threw some tomatoes and rotten eggs during the US President's visit last Monday. An observer said: "Bisan ang atong pagpakita sa atong kalagot ning panahona nagkinahanglan og dakong badyet."

COSTLY. The observer made the statement after being told that the effigies cost lots of money to make only to be sent up in smoke. "Pero for a good cause man sad," said an activist, adding: "Ang pagsunog sa effigies nakapa-us-os sa among hayblad."
