Coming: More media circus & propaganda

Tonight, on our talk show “Straight from the Sky,” we will talk about what’s happening in the Philippines today. Because of the Christmas season and Super Typhoon “Yolanda” I have sort of missed discussing on our talk show the current situation in the Philippines under the Aquino regime.

What we do know is that, a couple of weeks ago, there was an international convention organized by those who promote a culture of abortion, gay marriage, and divorce at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) where their main speaker was no less than Pres. Benigno “PNoy” Aquino, III. It just gives you an idea of what would happen to the Philippines if these Liberals get control of the Philippines and Pres. PNoy is their main ally!

So tonight we have with us Atty. Paul Oaminal of The Freeman and CCTN TV and Engr. Douglas Gacasan of the Task Force for Life and Family (TFFL) and we will discuss major issues like the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP), which hopefully the Supreme Court (SC) would decide in favor of the Filipino people and not the Executive Branch which has mishandled the nation’s coffers. So watch this interesting discussion on SkyCable’s channel 61 at 8:00PM with replays on Wednesday & Friday and replays on MyTV M-W-F.

Once again the national headlines have returned to that media circus called the Pork Scam… where this time around, Ruby Tuason, a former aide and confidant of then Pres. Joseph “Erap” Estrada has returned from the US in order to testify against Sen. Jinggoy Estrada… and validate the reports of whistleblower BenHur Luy. She was accompanied of course by Department of Justice (DoJ) Secretary Leila de Lima who gave a media briefing saying that Ruby collected pork cuts for Sen. Jinggoy and Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile.

So the big question is… if this case is so tight, why is the DOJ still engaging in a media circus? Sec. De Lima should immediately file the proper cases against Sen. Jinggoy and Sen. Enrile so that we would listen to the arguments in court rather than decide in the court of public opinion. Clearly, the DoJ Secretary is in no rush to put this case in the Office of the Ombudsman because she is enjoying the limelight with this media circus.

Meanwhile, until now, the Aquino regime practices propaganda not much different from what Josef Goebbels did for Germany’s Der Fuhrer Adolf Hitler. I mean, just look at what was splashed in the news a couple of days ago when Pres. PNoy Aquino went to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Tayuman office to renew his driver’s license. Of course the people waiting in line in Tayuman were surprised that the President also lined up and waited for his turn and his Yellow sycophants applauded it.

But without any doubt, this was nothing but mere Palabas. The Tagalogs have a word for it, “Pakitang Tao.” Sure the President did not ask for special treatment and was out of the LTO office in less than 30 minutes. But the reality is… it takes longer than that to get your driver’s license renewed. With the President waiting in line, what do you expect would the LTO employees do…but hurry things up so that the President won’t have to wait.

I’m sure that pro-Aquino supporters would chastise this column and tag me as an anti-Aquino. But the reason why I’m writing this is because my niece recently went to the LTO office here and lined up for hours… to secure her new driver’s license. But she was told that if she paid under the table, it would be much easier and faster. But she refused and at the end of a long wait… she failed her exams. The next day, she heeded their demand to pay up and right away she got her license. This has always been the way in LTO for many years and nothing has changed except that these days the LTO has now become part and parcel of the Aquino Nazi style propaganda.

Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) spokesman Raul Hernandez announced that the Philippine government was ready to provide a “generous” amount to the families of the Hong Kong tourists who were killed at the Luneta hostage taking last Aug.23, 2010. This is the Philippine government’s way of appeasing the indignant people of Hong Kong in lieu of a public apology by Pres. Benigno “PNoy” Aquino, III.

This brings us to ask… “Why only now are we giving this still mysterious amount after three long years of pain?” As Hernandez pointed out, “We have done everything we possibly can to address the Quirino Grandstand issue.”  Yes, I don’t doubt that the DFA has done all it can do…but the solution to this problem is very simple… for the President to issue a public apology, which the Filipino people want him to do. So no matter what they dangle to the families of the victims… it is an apology that they want, not money!
