LTO LICENSE. One day after the October 15 earthquake, an Ear informer told she went to an LTO satellite office inside a big shopping mall in Cebu to renew her license set to expire that day after. The office was open in the morning and officials started to accommodate applications. Incidentally, despite the frequent aftershocks, a lot of people were seen queuing up to renew their licenses.
SYSTEM DOWN. At one point in the processing, however, the applicants were told their system was down. So a lot of them, after lining up for two to three hours, left the office unimpressed. "Maypa unta'g wa nalang sila nagpa-salig-salig nga mo-process sila adtong adlawa kay nagkas-kas lang mi sa among panahon," the informer said. "Pabalikon nalang mi inig balik sa ilang system, pero mobayad mi sa penalty kay late na kuno mi nakaprocess. Wa sila malipong? Sala ba diay namo kung maglinog?" she said.
