Stupid people live longer?

Manny Pacquiao, says this news here, is the wealthiest lawmaker. He had to shed sweat and blood to gain his wealth. For didn't they say, no pain no gain?

It's not my suggestion to let Joavan Fernandez dance with the Dancing Inmates of the provincial jail. The suggestion came from a psychiatric expert who said that dancing with his fellow inmates “could serve” as a sort of rehab for Joavan. Not to make him look funny.

Someone sent me a newsclipping about the "blessing" for being dumb. It says that studies made by scientists in the University of Trondheim in Norway say that “the stupider you are, the longer you're likely to live.” In simpler words you live long if you're stupid.

The scientists, led by Dr. Erling Drivdal, say the person with an IQ of 100 can expect to outlive the person with an IQ higher higher than that by say 12 to 15 years.

Dr. Drivdal and his associates, according to this newsclip sent me by a reader, revealed that the scientists after an exhaustive 16-year study of more than 6,200 subjects were taken aback by the discovery.

OVERHEARD. Two Talisay ladies talking about the arrest of Joavan Fernandez were heard saying they were glad about it. But one lady, a member of the parish council, said: “Kamo ray glad ha ... wakoy labot di ko gusto mahiubos si Brod Soc nako.” Said one: “Ay kabalaka ni Brod Soc oy. Makabuhi ra man na gihapon iyang anak.”
