Campaigners in long sleeves

THE EAR - The Freeman

CAMPAIGN ATTIRE. The usual campaign attire is T-shirts with the candidates’ names or pictures, said an Ear informer. Comfortable clothes, he said, especially since the election period in the Philippines usually falls during the summer months when the heat of the sun is unbearable.

BUSINESS ATTIRE. But not for a particular group of campaigners, the informer added. “Ni-agi ko atong usang adlaw sa may Lapu-Lapu Street, mga ala-una sa hapon unya nakakita ko og grupo sa mga lalaki nga nag puti ug polo nga long-sleeves unya nanghatag sila og mga campaign materials ug nanglamano sa mga tao. Wa gyud ko katuo nga nangampanya sila kay ingon ato man ilang sanina unya init baya kaayo,” he said. The informer added that he saw the same group again later that afternoon along M.J. Cuenco Avenue sitting along the sidewalk. “Humana siguro to sila og pangampanya kay namahuway na man,” he added.
