CEBU, Philippines – Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-7 arrested a man complained for indiscriminate firing by his neighbors in Sto. Niño Village, Barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City.
The suspect was identified as Israel Bryan Pulvera, 42, who was the subject of the search warrant implemented by a group led by CIDG-7 deputy chief Superintendent Fermin Armendarez III in the former’s house yesterday morning.
Police applied for a search warrant after Pulvera was reported by his neighbors who were reportedly bothered by his alleged indiscriminate firing at home. RTC Branch 56 Judge Teresita Galanida issued the warrant.
Armendarez said when they have arrived at Pulvera’s place, the suspect appeared to be surprised but cooperated with them later on.
Among the items confiscated from Pulvera were caliber 9mm pistol loaded with live ammunition, a magazine containing six live ammunition, two silencers, two magazines for KG-9, three magazines for KG-9 pistol, and a bullet container with two live ammunition and 26 empty shells for caliber 9mm pistol. The firearms were reportedly unlicensed.
“Sa atong nakuha nga information nga hilig lang gyud siya sa armas, although kining iyang pagkahilig sa armas, gigamit pud niya reportedly sa pagpanghasi sa silingan,” said Armendarez.
Pulvera is currently detained CIDG-7 and declined interview with The FREEMAN yesterday. (FREEMAN)
