CEBU, Philippines – The Mandaue City Council approved yesterday the renewal of contracts for seven consultants after personally hearing their accomplishments last year.
The contracts to be renewed this year are those of lawyer Eutiquio Sanchez (traffic command center contracts), lawyer. Amadeo Seno Jr. (government contracts), lawyer Hidelito Pascual (sports development), Dr. Danilo Jaque (waste management), lawyer Benjamin Cabrido (environmental protection), lawyer Ma. Cristina Gabutina (trade and investment), and Oliver Navarro (musical arts, cultural and heritage).
All seven personally appeared before the council yesterday where they were grilled on their achievements since they were appointed.
Other consultants who were also made to submit their accomplishment reports for the last half of 2015 but were not called by the council were lawyer Elias Espinoza (traffic and policy making), Perfecto Perilla (external affairs of senior citizens), Nedy Sienes (internal affairs of senior citizens), Dr. Lorena Jala (customer satisfaction), lawyer Carlo Fortuna (legislative affairs), lawyer Paterno Acabodillo (real properties) and Alexander Uypuanco (marketing communications).
Last November, the council deferred the approval of the contracts of 15 consultants after failing to submit their performance reports before the body. (FREEMAN)
