Drug raid nets twin brothers
CEBU, Philippines - Police arrested twin brothers during a raid at the suspects’ house at the back of Matimco in Barangay Subangdaku of Mandaue City, early morning of Thursday.
The raiding team of the Subangdaku Police Station, led by Inspector Ricky Calong, officer-in-charge of the station, identified the suspects as Roy Flores, 41, and his twin, Reynan.
Armed with a search warrant signed by Judge Teresita Galanida-Abarquez, the police swooped down on the house of Roy, who himself opened the door for them.
Calong and his men served the warrant and, in the ensuring search, confiscated two big packs, two medium packs and 10 sachets of shabu, with a total street value of P33,000.
Aside from the illegal drugs, found hidden inside the master’s bedroom , the police also seized a .357-caliber paltik magnum revolver with five live bullets, an empty shell of .38-caliber bullet and several drug paraphernalia.
While the police were conducting an inventory of the seized items, they saw Reynan who they immediately frisked. Reynan yielded a small pack of shabu from his possession and was also arrested along with his twin Roy.
Calong told The FREEMAN Roy has been known as a notorious drug pusher in the area and was even in the watchlist of known illegal drug personalities in the barangay. A two-week surveillance was conducted against Roy before the raid.
