Drug bust nets driver

CEBU, Philippines – Police arrested a 34-year old tricycle driver in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City on Friday evening.

Senior Inspector Wilbert Parilla, chief of Gun-ob Police Station, identified the suspect as Niño Tumulak, resident of Sitio Purok Balanghoy.

Parilla said Tumulak was caught around 10 p.m. after handing a piece of drug to a police decoy.

At least five packs of suspected shabu were confiscated from Tumulak. The marked money of P200 was also recovered.

The suspect is now detained at the Lapu-Lapu City Detention cell and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
