METROPOLICE: Level 2 pusher falls

CEBU, Philippines - An alleged level two drug pusher was arrested after handling a small pack of shabu to a police asset on Thursday morning in Barangay Poblacion, Lapu-Lapu City.

During his arrest, Ronie Sagarino, 50, yielded suspected shabu estimated to be worth P247,800.

Police Inspector Judith Besas of Cebu Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Group of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office said their buy-bust operation happened around 9:30 in the morning near the Our Lady of the Rule Church in Barangay Poblacion.

It was also reported that Sagarino was captured earlier for the same offense but was able to bail out before.

Four packs of medium-size illegal substance were recovered from his possession, along with drug paraphernalia and a P500 bill that served as marked money. The seized drugs were supposed to be dispatched in the sitio where Sagarino resides, police believed.

Sagarino was placed under surveillance for a week prior to the entrapment, according to Besas.

Sagarino is temporarily detained in an LCPO detention cell and will be charged under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. — Christell Fatima M. Tudtud (FREEMAN)
