Uncle stabs drunk nephew

CEBU, Philippines- In Barangay Mactan, a drunk man was stabbed by his own uncle after executing going berserk outside their house Saturday afternoon in Purok Lasang, Balikbayan, Soong 1.

The drunk victim was identified as Marlon Augusto, 37, a trisikad driver in the said barangay who happens to be the nephew of the suspect, Germenio Pulvera, 62.

Senior Police Officer 1 Allan Pantaleon of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office said Augusto was heavily intoxicated with alcohol leading to his uncontrolled actions. He was said to be throwing stones on the house of his uncle.

Alarmed by his nephew's acts, Pulvera went outside his house to console the nephew but was instead challenged for a fist fight.

Augusto threw his fist on his uncle but Pulvera was able to parry his punches.

Pulvera then took a kitchen knife and stabbed Augusto, hitting him on the left side of his body.

The wounded nephew was immediately rushed first to the Lapu-Lapu City District Hospital and later transported to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for further medical treatment.

The suspect was arrested by the responding tourist police and was brought to a holding cell while the knife was turned over to LCPO's Crime Against Person's Desk.
