CEBU, Philippines - A lotto outlet lost its P2,000 earnings after it was robbed by three armed men on board a motorcycle past 7 p.m. Friday evening along P.C Sanchez Street in Barangay Pagsabungan, Mandaue City.
Police Officer 2 Richard Ares of the Basak Police Station said the suspects took the P2,000 cash and a cellular phone from Nina Mea Aurestela, the teller of the said lotto outlet.
Ares also learned that the suspects also took the expensive cellular phone of Bernamea Maglasang, 39, the owner of the said lotto outlet. They likewise carted away cellular phones of three other employees of the adjacent water-refilling station also owned by Maglasang.
Ares said the suspects were able to gain entry to the compound of Maglasang when employees allegedly failed to close the gate of the said compound.
Once inside the compound, the suspects then started poking guns to the victims as they declared a hold-up.
Ares added that the suspects even demanded for the whole day earnings of the outlet, however, the teller explained that she already released the money to the Swertes winners hours before the suspects came. After taking their belongings and cash, the suspects hurriedly left the place on board a motorcycle. (FREEMAN)
