Subsidy to defray ABC expenses sought
CEBU, Philippines - Talisay City Councilor Raul Cabañero is asking for P1.5 million in assistance intended for the Association of Barangay Council-Talisay City to cover the latter's maintenance and other operating expenses for this year.
In a proposed resolution, Cabañero said the Liga ng mga Barangay Chapter needs to have cash subsidy in order to defray the maintenance and other operating expenditures.
"Due to financial constraints for such amount of expenses, the Talisay City Chapter Liga ng mga Barangay is humbly asking your support to release the annual subsidy," said Cabañero, who also sits as the president of the Liga.
According to Cabañero, being supportive of the barangay activities, the city must provide financial assistance to the group for its operations and other programs.
The 1.5-million pesos shall be specifically spent to defray the expenses of ABC on the purchase of supplies and materials including for settlement of all payables, including Liga Members uniform and honorarium.
