CEBU, Philippines - An alleged drug pusher was found lifeless and bathed in his own blood in a grassy and secluded place in Barangay Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City Wednesday evening.
Ricardo Taghoy, a resident of Sitio Kabatuan of Barangay Maribago, died on the spot after he sustained two gunshot wounds in his head when gunned by two unidentified men.
Police investigation revealed that prior to his death, the victim asked permission from his mother that he would be visiting his aunt's house in Sitio Abuno in Barangay Pajac.
But while walking, he was approached by two unknown assailants and brought to a secluded and grassy place where he was shot and killed. Both suspect hurriedly left the place.
When police responded to the alarm, they immediately conducted a follow-up search for the assailants but they could no longer find them.
Although the police have yet to determine the real motive of the crime, they believed that the suspect failed to remit the proceeds of his illegal drug trade to his master and was thus killed. (FREEMAN)
