Consolacion starts repair of damaged brgy roads

CEBU, Philippines - The municipal government of Consolacion has kick-started the repair of barangay roads following concerned citizens raising the issue of roads that are in bad conditions.

Consolacion Mayor Teresa Alegado said she already directed the Municipal Engineering Office to prioritize the implementation of these road repairs.

The town mayor said barangay roads are an important link to the different mountain barangays of the town.

Although not all requests by the residents in the different barangays can be given immediate action, the municipal government said they will try their best to cater to all roads that need attention.

Consolacion residents have pointed to ten-wheeler trucks loaded with heavy stuff as one of the reasons why some of the barangay roads in the town get easily worn out.

The ten-wheelers are said to transport limestone from the mountain barangays, it was learned. — (FREEMAN)
