Police arrest shabu users
CEBU, Philippines - The police last Friday shot a man in the leg to allegedly stop him from drawing his gun as they came to arrest him and his group for abusing shabu in barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City .
Shot by PO3 Butch Christopher Tanghal was Dindo Aying, of sitio Soong, barangay Mactan.
However, a certain Jemar Aying, the object of a warrant of arrest issued by RTC branch 53 in Lapu-Lapu City for robbery, was able to escape.
The police did not say when or how Aying escaped.
The other Aying was taken to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital for his leg wound while four other men were arrested and brought to the Lapu-Lapu City Police Headquarters for detention pending the filing of charges against them.
The arrested men were identified as Jeffery Cabagte, 27, Melvin Malingin, 30, Ramil Bancale, 28, and Jeremias Buniao, 43, all of Barangay Mactan.
Charges of attempted homicide and direct assault, will be filed against Aying. (FREEMAN)
