CEBU, Philippines - Men from the Naga Emergency and Action Team (NEAT) rescued a fisherman yesterday at around 5 a.m. after his boat capsized Thursday night in Naga City.
Ray Mantalaba of NEAT said 58-year-old Enoc Sitoy’s boat was old and strong waves must have forced an opening in the bow that allowed water to rush in.
Sitoy is from Cordova town.
Sitoy said he clang to his boat for more than six hours while it drifted towards the coastal waters of Naga.
The boat was towed to shore in barangay Langtad. (FREEMAN)
