CEBU, Philippines - Autopsy results have shown that the two charred bodies found inside a burnt SUV in Danao City were that of a man and a woman.
Police medico-legal officer Nestor Sator said the man was identified through the remaining part of his sex organ that was not totally charred as well as the structure of his pelvic bone area, which was reportedly bigger than a female’s.
The woman, on the other hand, had a smaller and rounded pelvic bone area, said Sator.
The medico-legal officer said the woman had a dental filling (pasta) on her molar teeth, which can be checked on her dental records for the possible identification of the cadaver.
Parts of the tattered clothes of the victims may still be recognizable, too, he said.
Sator said that with the severe degree of burns the bodies acquired, he can hardly determine what caused the duo’s death.
The autopsy result further shows though that the victims were already dead by the time the SUV was burned down in Barangay Looc early Tuesday morning with them inside it.
Sator said he discovered this after dissecting the air passages of both victims.
He failed to find any injury on the unburned parts that could have helped determine the cause of death. (FREEMAN)
