More earthquake drills expected in Lapu-Lapu

CEBU, Philippines - Following the recent 7.1 earthquake that rocked Bohol, Cebu, and other provinces, barangay and city officials in Lapu-Lapu City are seeking regular earthquake drills, most especially for students and teachers.
The fire department had started the drills in previous months but residents want the drills done more often in the barangays, including those in the island of Olango and neighboring islets.
Although the damage done by the quake was minimal but city officials wish to be prepared at all times.
Personnel and employees of the different companies located at the Mactan Export Zone also conduct regular drills. (FREEMAN)
