CEBU, Philippines - An alleged robber was shot dead in barangay Pasil yesterday dawn.
Roy Allen Abejo, 27, succumbed to a gunshot wound in the left side of his face, the bullet exiting on the right temple. His attacker is believed to be a neighbor.
Police said Abejo reportedly had an argument with a man at around 4 a.m., shortly before he was killed.
The man was found sprawled on the ground in front of the house he was renting.
Police recovered an empty shell of a caliber .45 pistol and a slug from the crime scene.
SPO4 Alex Dacua of the Homicide Section said personal grudge was the motive behind the incident.
“Naa daw ni siya’y gikalalis bahin sa cellhpone, murag bahin sa cp na kinawat gipabaligya unya nagkuwang,†said Dacua.
He said residents couldn’t tell who shot Abejo but strongly believe it could just be a neighbor.
Abejo has a record for robbery at San Nicolas Police Station, said Dacua. (FREEMAN)
