Lapu-Lapu City College to keep on serving poor

CEBU, Philippines - Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza said the changes in the leadership at the Lapu-Lapu City College will not affect the main purpose of the college, which is to help the poor.

After the resignation of Dr. Tomas Ramos, the city council appointed an officer-in-charge of the college while scouting for a person who can work permanently.

Radaza said a large part of the city’s annual budget goes to education.

The city college was created after the city learned that a big number of high school graduates fail to enroll in college because of financial constraints.  (FREEMAN)
