CEBU, Philippines - More than 38 thousand jobs await jobseekers in Mandaue City and neighboring cities and municipalities in Metro Cebu next year and the next two years.
Businessman Norberto Quisumbing,Jr. has agreed to allow a Manila-based business process outsourcing developer to use his property in barangay Bakilid in Mandaue City to construct a building designed for BPOs.
Quisumbing and Danilo E. Ignacio, chairman and chief executive officer of DEI Properties, met with Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes and discussed the proposed development.
An estimated 2.8-hectare lot owned by Quisumbing presently being used by the Norkis Group of Companies will soon be converted into a business process outsourcing (BPO) center.
Quisumbing has invested money for the realization of the project which would employ more than 38 thousand workers, Ignacio said. (FREEMAN)
