CEBU, Philippines - The police are looking for a Caucasian man who seized a taxi from its driver midnight Monday in barangay Cabangcalan in Mandaue City.
Taxi driver Jirwel Ycong told police a passenger he had picked along Mango Ave. in Cebu City instructed him to be taken to Cabangcalan, and while in front of the Cabangcalan Elementary School, the heavily built man who allegedly reeked of liquor told him to stop the car and at that point seized the wheel from him.
He said he simply surrendered the car to his passenger because he was nowhere near as strong.
The stolen taxi is alleged to have been abandoned in front of a mall along A.S. Fortuna Street in barangay Bakilid.
Casuntingan police chief P Sr./Insp Ramil Morpos believes the foreigner resides in the place. – (FREEMAN)
