CEBU, Philippines - Starting this month, the Department of Public Works and Highways Sixth Engineering District will start the improvement of the drainage system and the national road at the Cebu North Hagnaya Wharf Road in Mandaue City.
DPWH Sixth District Office officials has informed Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes about the project, which includes the improvement of the national road at Cebu North Hagnaya Wharf Road, repair, rehabilitation, improvement, and maintenance of drainage facilities and sidewalk at Cebu North Hagnaya Wharf Road and the repair and improvement of the national road at A. C. Cortes Avenue, all in Mandaue City.
Engr. Myrna A. Dela Serna visited Cortes the other day and informed him about the start of the project this month.
Dela Serna told Cortes the department needs the support and cooperation of the city, especially with regards the flow of traffic in the area.
Cortes, on the other hand, assured Dela Serna that traffic personnel will be assigned to the area.
The project was supposed to start early this year, but was postponed due to the election. (FREEMAN)
