Consolacion municipal council oks committee chairmanships

CEBU, Philippines - The Municipal Council of Consolacion approved Friday the chairmanships of the different mandatory standing committees as the new set of officials started their duties and responsibilities.

The powerful committee on finance, appropriation, ways, and means, is headed by Councilor Ben Ermac, a businessman and a banker.

The chairman of the committee on women, children, family and senior citizens is the president of the Association of Barangay Councils (ABC), Marilou Casul.

Justice, Due Process, Human Rights, Ethics and Good Governance committee is chaired by Councilor Benjamin Tibon while the Youth and Sports Development is headed by Sangguniang Kabataan Federation president Vito Rolito Villo.

The Natural Resources and Environment Protection committee is also chaired by Councilor Benjamin Tibon.

Livelihood and Cooperatives is headed by Councilor Arnolfo Abinales while Rules, Laws, Ordinances and Privileges is chaired by Councilor Elenito Palang.

The Peace and Order, Fire, Police and Penology is also chaired by Councilor Benjamin Tibon.

Vice Mayor Aurelio Damole is the chairman of the council’s committee on Health and Sanitation.

On the other hand, Social Welfare Services, Urban Poor and Cultural Minorities & Persons with Disabilities is chaired by Councilor Nilo Ferraren while the councils committee on Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform is chaired by Councilor Julius Alegado.

The Education committee is chaired by Councilor Elenito Palang including the council’s committee on Market and Slaughterhouse.

The Games and Amusement committee is chaired by Councilor Nilo Ferraren.

Councilor Analee Gungob is the chairman of the committee on Trade, Commerce and Industry.

Another committee Infrastructure and Public Works  s chaired by Councilor Nilo A.  Ferraren.

The Local Government (Barangay) Affairs is chaired by ABC president Marilou Casul.

The Municipal Properties committee is chaired by Councilor Ember Alinsug, Human Resource Development, Labor and Employment is chaired by Palang, Land Use and Housing is chaired by Ermac, Transportation, Communication and Information Technology is chaired by Alegado, Accreditation is chaired by Ermac, and the Arts, Culture and Heritage committee is chaired by Alegado.
