CEBU, Philippines - A 15-year-old girl was hogtied, gagged, and harmed Tuesday afternoon by a man who broke into the sari-sari store she was tending at M. C. Briones Street in barangay Guizo, Mandaue City.
Normae Doll Burgas, 15, single, said a man forced himself into the store, declared a holdup, and threatened to kill her if she made a sound.
Burgas said the man grabbed some plastic bags and used these to tie her up and gag her when she refused to cooperate.
She also said the man threatened to harm her with a pair of scissors and told her to behave as he began to collect things with value.
“Daghan kaayo ug bun-og ang biktima kay nisukol man unya gilodhan pa man gani ang iyahang likod,†PO1 Crestito Raboy said.
Taken by the robber were three cellular phones, assorted cigarettes amounting to P2,000, a box of lighters valued at P250, and P300.
On his way out of the store, the robber met Burgas’ grandmother who was about to enter the store.
Burgas and her grandmother later went to the police. (FREEMAN)
