Jonas to lead cleanup drive

 CEBU, Philippines - Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes has urged both the victorious and unsuccessful candidates in the just-concluded elections to take part in the tearing down of campaign materials.

Cortes yesterday said he will lead the drive this Saturday in the barangays, although it will take more than just one day to complete the job.

Cortes said the aim of the “My Mandaue program” is to maintain the cleanliness of the city.  

Joining the drive will be barangay captains and Clean and Green workers. Cortes said girl scouts and boy scouts from the different schools might also take part.  (FREEMAN)
