Town mayor worried about Illegal drugs

Cebu, Philippines - Compostela town Mayor Joel Quino is bothered about the proliferation of illegal drugs in his territory and has asked the police to intensify the drive against drug sellers.

The Freeman has learned that some of those engaged in selling illegal drugs in the town come from neighboring Danao City, tagged as the center of distribution of illegal drugs to different towns in northern Cebu.

Last week, National Bureau of Investigation agents arrested a resident of Danao City for his alleged involvement in illegal drugs.

Some barangay officials in Compostela town, on the other hand, said they can provide information to the police regarding residents in illegal drugs. (FREEMAN)
