CEBU, Philippines - The police in Talisay City are on the lookout for a gambling den in sitio Lemonsito in barangay Dumlog where attendants, or "kalasero," are allegedly juveniles.
Talisay City council ex-officio and Dumlog village chief Charles Basillote said he hasn't heard of a sitio Lemonsito in his barangay, but just the same, he will check the report.
Last Monday afternoon, Jebee Binghay of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) main office reported an incident to Talisay City Police Station through telephone about the presence of juveniles in an alleged gambling den.
Base on the police blotter, Binghay said a resident of sitio Lemonsito in barangay Dumlog owned the gambling den, which allegedly hired minors as attendants. (FREEMAN)
