CEBU, Philippines - Three alleged pimps, aged 20, 26, and 27, were arrested at a gasoline station Monday evening in barangay Looc, Mandaue City for alleged human trafficking.
Involved in the arrest were the Women’s Desk, International Justice Mission, and the Investigative Detective Management Bureau.
After shadowing the men, authorities found juveniles were recruited and prostituted in exchange for P5,000.
An entrapment was hatched; the pimps, the minors, and a police decoy were to meet at a gasoline station.
As soon as P3,000 was handed over to the pimps as tip, the police pounced on them.
The minors aged 13, 14,16, and women aged 21 and 22 were taken to the DSWD-7 for counseling while charges are being readied against the three men.
