CEBU, Philippines - A barangay captain in the municipality of Consolacion, who is seeking the vice mayoralty post in the town, would push for additional benefits for barangay support groups if elected.
Barangay Jugan captain Diosdada “Dada” Gielczyk said support groups, such as the barangay health workers, barangay nutrition scholars, and barangay tanods, are constantly relied upon when delivery of basic services to constituents needs a boost.
Gielczyk said other support groups outside of the town are also in need of extra benefits.
She said the provincial government could look at their plight. (FREEMAN)
