CEBU, Philippines - Fire gutted Tuesday afternoon a commercial building in barangay Yati, Liloan.
Damage was placed at P100,000.
The building, which was made of light materials, was host to a sari-sari store and three rooms for lease.
The owner, Fe Palacao, was reportedly somewhere else when the fire broke out.
The Liloan Fire Station received the alarm at around 4:55 p.m.
SFO2 Bob Bolabola, of the Liloan Fire Station, said the fire started from the room occupied by lodgers.
Firemen controlled the fire about two minutes later. (FREEMAN)
