Juvenile, woman, 48, wounded in crossfire between rival gangs
CEBU, Philippines - A woman and a juvenile were wounded in the crossfire between rival gangs Friday evening in barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City.
James Madrio, 11, of barangay Buaya, was hit in the chest while a certain Marissa Toledo, 48, sustained a gunshot wound to her left arm.
They were immediately taken to the Don Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
A leader of one of the groups was stabbed by a bystander.
The Homicide Section of the Lapu-Lapu City Police said a group of youngsters who called themselves “True Brown Style” engaged in a brawl with another group near the Marina Mall past 11 pm last Friday.
The alleged leader of “True Brown Style” fired two shots at the rival group, hitting Madrio and the woman who were standing on the roadside.
But before he could leave the place, someone stabbed him on the abdomen.
P/Insp. Jose Abello of the Police station 5 and his men arrested two minors and turned over to the DSWD while a third suspect, of legal age, remains at large. (FREEMAN)
