City dad: Enforce anti-jaywalking law

CEBU, Philippines - A Mandaue City councilor wants the city’s anti-jaywalking ordinance enforced.

Councilor Elstone Dabon, who heads the committee on Transportation and Communication, has proposed a resolution which requests the Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue and the Mandaue City Police Office through Mayor Jonas Cortes to implement the law.

Dabon said the anti-jaywalking ordinance, authored by former city councilor now barangay Looc captain Raul “Pukang” Cabahug was never implemented.

The ordinance must be strictly implemented to avoid  accidents,” Dabon’s resolution said. (FREEMAN)
