CEBU, Philippines — Everything is already in place for the much awaited “ELEVATE:Race to Tops 2024” cycling event slated on October 20.

Presented by the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Alumni Association in collaboration with 2kcares.org, Uban ta Bai’ke, and Cocel Marketing, the exciting bikefest will start at the Sacred Heart School-Jesuit Old Campus along General Maxilom Avenue and end at the panoramic Tops in Barangay Busay, Cebu City that is famed for its breath-taking view.

It is open to cycling enthusiasts at least 17 years old who want to push their limits, break barriers, and connect with their fellow thrill-seekers as they race to the top of Cebu’s iconic landmark.

The charitable undertaking is more than just a race, it’s a celebration of community, fitness, and environmental awareness.

“The purpose of the ELEVATE:Race to Tops is to foster community engagement, promote fitness and wellness, and raise awareness for charitable causes. It aims to inspire individuals to push their limits while also creating a positive impact through sports,” said SHS-AdC Alumni Association President Afshin Ghassemi.

“The main goal is to bring together participants for a challenging yet rewarding biking event that supports local charities. The event also seeks to highlight the scenic beauty of Tops Cebu, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and unite people through a shared passion for cycling and giving back to the community,” added Ghassemi.

Though a fund-raiser, prizes will be given away to the category and overall winners.

Entry fee is P888 inclusive of a race number, finisher’s shirt and medal, and meal.

One may register at https://2kcares.org/campaigns/ or at the Core Pacific Money Exchange, 4th Floor of Ayala Center Cebu.
