Coach Mike Reyes steers 4B Gamefarm to a back-to-back first runner-up finish

CEBU, Philippines — Veteran coach Mike Reyes propelled Gia’s Laundry Services/4B Gamefarm to a back-to-back first runner-up trophies in separate tournaments just days apart form each other in Southern Leyte recently.

Bannered by a collection of former collegiate stars, 4B Gamefarm made it to the final but lost to the Immaculate Conception College (ICC) Blue Hawks of Manila in the championship match of Macrohon Under 26 Invitational Basketball Tournament 2024 last week.

Coach Mike and 4B Gamefarm took home P75,000 for their efforts. They pocketed an additional P50,000 for finishing second to the OCCCI Sheermasters in Zone 3, Sogod, Southern Leyte Invitational Basketball Tournament on Thursday, September 26.  Though they fell short of the crown, Reyes is still pleased with the performance of his team that was only formed on short notice.

“Satisfied naman considering na first time nagkasama-sama ang mga players ko while our opponents team na talaga,” said Reyes, a decorated bench tactician with multiple titles under his belt both in the amateur and commercial leagues.

Owned and managed by Dondon Gozo and his wife Karen Michelle Alave Gozo, Gia’s Laundry Services /4B Gamefarm’s participation serves as the family’s thanksgiving to St. Michael the Archangel and their commitment to giving top quality and highly entertaining hardcourt action to the people of Southern Leyte.
