Gealon Racing Team strikes on various fronts

CEBU, Philippines — The spirited athletes of Gealon Racing Team made waves on multiple fronts over the weekend.

First off, sending three of its best cyclists to Prosperidad town in Agusan del Sur for the two-day 5th Angot Festival Bike Race proved gratifying for GRT.

Displaying a dominant performance in a strong field of over 100 cyclists across the country, veteran pedal-pushers Rolando Pagnanawon and Ramonito Espinosa as well as the multi-titled young gun Khyll Lequin all came out as champions in their respective divisions.

Over in Dumaguete City, Christian Miraflor secured a third-place finish in the Negros Oriental Sagar Multisport Series Duathlon under the 16-19 age group.

Miraflor bravely conquered the grueling race that consisted of a 10K run, 40k bike and another 5K run to bring home bronze medal.

On the other hand, the multi-sport squad of Cebu City Councilor Rey Gealon topped the Siomai Festival Run 2024 in Barangay Tisa.

Markiven Revilla bagged the men’s 6K crown, while Kelvin Boyles clinched the 3K title and the bragging rights as “the fastest siomai runner ever.” — (FREEMAN)
