12 teams see action in A+E Basketball’s 2nd Buildrite Cup

CEBU, Philippines — A dozen teams are seeing action in the Architects+Engineers Basketball Association’s  2nd Buildrite Cup, which kicked off on Friday, September 20, at the Anselmo Bustos Gym of the University of San Carlos (USC)- Downtown Campus.

Now on its seventh year, the AEBA gets bigger and better while staying true to its vision of fostering fellowship and camaraderie among licensed engineers and architects in Cebu through sports.

“This is to harmonize and create camaraderie between professionals composed of engineers and architects because there are instances that these two different professionals have friction on the field, “ said A+E Basketball President Alan Choachuy in a press conference on Thursday night, September 19, at Dimes Bistro+Coffee.

“But with basketball, we use this sport to fill the gap and build understanding,” added Choachuy, who was joined by A+E Basketball Vice President for Operations Josephril Partosa and  Magna Prime Vice President for External Corporate Affairs Marvin Nisperos Estigoy.

“This season may be shorter than those in the past, but it is highly competitive, “ said Partosa.
