Bogo Claws and Paws grabs U30 crown of NSA X Comfort Zone Ph 4x4 tourney
CEBU, Philippines — The Bogo Claws and Paws emerged as champion in the 30 Under division of the inaugural North Sports Apparel X Comfort Zone Ph 4x4 Basketball Challenge staged recently at the Kapenarra Gym in Bogo City north of Cebu.
The Claws and Paws outgunned Kwez Restobar in the final, 17-11, to grab the coveted crown.
Bannered by the MVP awardee Marlone Batac, the other members of the Claws and Paws are Edmer Estoya,Charles Lequin, Jun Canton, and Lee-Von Son.
Aside from an assorted merchandise from NSA, they also pocketed P12,000 cash prize for their efforts, while Batac got a brand new pair of basketball shoes from Comfort Zone Ph.
Kwez Restobar did not go home empty-handed as they received P8,000 and NSA products as well.
Organized by sports patron Marc Malazarte and coach Serg Alburo, the tournament was made possible through the support of Kapenarra, Bogo City Centrum, Cafe Alto Bogo, and Mackoys Lechon Belly.
Up next is the 18 Under category scheduled in the first week of September. The top finisher will take home P10,000, while the second placer will get P7,000. — (FREEMAN)
