CEBU, Philippines — It’s all systems go for the 2nd Bankal Chess Club Rapid Tournament slated on Sunday, August 18, at the Mercato de Mactan along Soong Road in Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.
Games start at 9:30 a.m.
The eight-round Swiss system competition is open to all players rated 2000 and below.
The champion will pocket P4,000, while the first runner-up will take home P3,000. The third to fifth placers will receive P1,500, P1,000, and P700, respectively, while the sixth to 10th will get P300 each.
There will also be special prizes for the top Bankal, senior, lady, and kiddie U10 and U12 players.
Registration fee is pegged at P250 for regular participants and P150 for club members, seniors, PWDs, ladies, kids 12 Under, and Cepcans.
