EGS-Talisay rules Pardo Fiesta Basketball League

CEBU, Philippines — The EGS-Talisay City of team owner Wilson Bas Villanueva emerged as champion in the two-day Barangay Pardo Semi Open Fiesta Basketball League on Tuesday,  September 19,  at the Pardo Sports Complex in Cebu City.

Under the guidance of coach Ronald “Magic” Bucao, himself a champion player with the University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers both in high school and college, EGS-Talisay trounced the Jaguars, composed of former varsity cagers, with the score of 99-86 in the finals.

The highly successful event was organized by AAA Basketball and the Barangay Poblacion Council headed by chairman Archie Araw-Araw as part of their annual fiesta celebration in honor of their beloved patron Sto. Tomas De Villanueva.
