Primary Builders cruise to 3-0 in Arlon Cup S3
CEBU, Philippines — The red-hot Primary Builders outclassed the Buksquad, 67-58, in a battle of unbeaten teams in the Hoop Nation Arlon Cup Season 3 powered by Rock Uniform Solutions (RUS) at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Jestony Anor unloaded 14 points, hauled six rebounds and dished out four assists as the Primary Builders took the solo lead with a perfect 3-0 record.
Val Quiapo chalked up 14 points laced with eight rebounds and two blocks but his efforts went down the drain as the Buksquad suffered its first setback after logging in back-to-back victories.
On the other hand, Team Empire, the Prayboys and the Wolves all barged into the win column.
Kenny Genobia pumped in 21 points on top of six boards and two assists to power Team Empire to a 70-63 spanking of Heat Check, while Alfie Dionson came up with 16 points, four rebounds and two assists to help the Prayboys pull off a 58-57 cliffhanger over the Gentlemen.
Not to be outdone, Bal Zaspa banged in 17 markers and eight rebounds to lift the Wolves to a 58-50 drubbing of Steagh. — EBV
