Ex-ALA Boys explosive in Sanman debuts

CEBU, Philippines — Former ALA Boys Kevin Jake “KJ” Cataraja, Jeo Santisima, Melvin “El Gringo” Jerusalem and Esneth “Hard Hitter” Domingo treated their new handler Sanman Promotions/ZIP with knockout delights in the “Vengeance” fight card held without spectators on Thursday night at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City.

The WBO No.11 super flyweight contender Cataraja scored a sensational first round stoppage of

John Mark Apolinario to stretch his unbeaten record to 12-0 now spiked with 10KOs.

Santisima was similarly impressive as the one-time world title challenger decked Marjun Piencenaves twice in the second round before finally ending the bout in the same round.

Not to be outdone, the WBC No.2 minimumweight contender Jerusalem punished Jason Francisco from the opening bell before sneaking in a crushing body shot to flatten his hapless foe for good in the second round.

Santisima improved his record to 20-3 with 16KOs, while Jerusalem rose to 16-2, with 9KOs.

Domingo completed the 4-0 sweep of Sanman debutants after he stopped Gerald Alvarez also in round two. He now holds 14-1 win-loss mark dotted with 8KOs. — EBV
