CEBU, Philippines — Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmena gave a green light to Cebuano skateboarders to use the Cebu City Sports Institute as their temporary practice venue while waiting for the city's official skatepark.
CCSI can be used by skaters from 9 in the morning to 10 p.m daily unless their will be another event to be held at the said venue.
There will be no permanent structures for skateboard to be put up at the CCSI but they will be providing removable obstacles.
CCSI will serve as a temporary venue as the city's skate park is still on the process of construction located at the back of Fort San Pedro.
Cebuana skateboarder and Asian Games gold medalist Margielyn Didal has given her inputs on the design for the said skatepark
The skate park design shown earlier needs to be revised yet to suit to the available lot near the beach volleyball court at the Fort San Pedro.
