UV Baby Lancers to hold four-day tryouts

CEBU, Philippines — The University of the Visayas (UV) Baby Lancers will be conducting a comprehensive four-day tryout on May 15-18.

Baby Lancers coach Gerald Ylaya advised those young aspiring hoopsters who want to be part of the elite UV Basketball program to come to the UV gym at 2:30 pm starting tomorrow.

Ylaya said the series of tryouts is part of their rigid preparations for the upcoming 18th  Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) basketball season set to kick off on August 29 at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Baby Lancers are the defending champion in the juniors division.

Last year, the UV bantams crushed the five-year reign of four-time titleholders Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-ADC) Magis Eagles and in the process end their six-year title drought.— EBV (FREEMAN)
