Sirlitz One On One basketball camp starts today

CEBU, Philippines — The 18th season of the Sirlitz One On One Basketball Training Camp rolls off today at the Yati Elementary School gym in Liloan, Cebu.

Training director and veteran coach Edsel Say Vallena said they will by applying new training methods and dribbling techniques in their month-long summer clinic.

"For nearly two decades now, our camp has established a name because it is result-oriented, and the parents get their money's worth," said Vallena. "We always make sure that the skills level of all the participants will go a notch higher after going through our camp."

One On One specializes in American and Korean shooting forms and playing style.

Aside from proper dribbling, shooting, passing and footwork, Vallena said they will also be teaching their students team and individual defense as well as one on one offensive drills.

Open to aspiring hoopsters aged 18 years old and below, the Sirlitz camp can boast of UAAP star Paul Desiderio of the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons among its brightest products. One On One's teams also excelled against top provaye schools in developmental leagues particularly the Cebu Youth Basketball League (CYBL).

The training session is set from 8 a.m. to 12 noon (two hours for every age-group) from Monday to Friday with special sessions on Saturday.

Vallena said they will still be accepting enrollees in the first week of their camp.
