CEBU, Philippines — Ten squads will vie for supremacy in the first VECO Friendship Basketball Tournament, which kicked off the other night at the Talisay City Sports Complex.
These are VECO, Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO), Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO), Police Regional Office - 7 (PRO-7), Cebu City Traffic Office (CCTO), Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue City (TEAM), City of Talisay - Traffic Operations Development Authority (CT-TODA), NOMADS and GMA-7/dySS.
“We hope that this will be the first of many friendship games with our different stakeholders. This activity is a great way for all of us to get to know each other and at the same time have fun after a long day’s work,” said VECO chief operating officer Anton Mari Perdices.
Talisay City Mayor Eduardo Gullas also graced the opening ceremony.
In the opening double-header, TEAM blasted CCPO, 86-79, while CT-TODA upended PRO-7, 107-98. (FREEMAN)
