FEU to hold basketball, volleyball tryouts this weekend

CEBU, Philippines - The Far Eastern University of the Manila-based Universities Athletic Association of the Philippines will hold a tryout for its men's basketball and women's volleyball teams this weekend at the Aznar Coliseum of Southwestern University.       

FEU athletic director Mark Oliver Molina and Lady Tamaraws head coach Bert Flores will be coming over to supervise the two-day activity that is part of their massive build-up for this year's UAAP season. Flores, who hails from Consolacion, Cebu, is also the team consultant of the FEU Tamaraws, the reigning UAAP men's basketball champions.

Time slot is from 1-3 p.m. for basketball and 3-5 p.m. for volleyball tryout. It is open to both senior high and college players.

During the UAAP Season 78, the Tamaraws have four cagers from Cebu in their fold in Roger Pogoy, Monbert Arong,             Kevin Barkley T. Eboña and Ron Marvis C. Dennison. One of their assistant coaches is also a Cebuano in Ryan Betia. (EBV)(FREEMAN)
