CEBU, Philippines - The Southwestern University and University of San Carlos remained unbeaten in the Central Visayas leg of the 14th Shakey’s Girls Volleyball League at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu yesterday.
SWU chalked its second win in the expense of University of Cebu, 25-13, 25-18.
USC, for its part, also posted back-to-back wins after annihilating Southcrest School, 25-1, 25-12.
Host team Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu finally broke into the win column after defeating University of Bohol, 25-17, 25-7.
After losing against SWU in the opener, Abellana National School bounced back by handing St.Theresa’s College its second consecutive defeat, 27-25, 25-16.
SWU and USC looks to score their third straight victories today as SWU battles STC, while the latter takes on University of Bohol.
SHS-AdC will try to continue their winning momentum as they face Southcrest, while ANS and UC go up against each other. — (FREEMAN)
